Wines

Our wines are crafted beginning in our vineyards.  We grow several varieties of American, European, and hybrid grapes with careful attention to the soils and climate unique to the James River/Piedmont environment.  Using environmentally friendly farming practices, we nurture our grapes every season, harvesting in the fall and producing wines distinctly labeled Virginia.

Estate wines

These are limited quantity carefully crafted wines using grapes from a single vineyards, They emphasize the terroir or unique micro-climate characteristics of each individual vineyard, and are truly unique.

Norton - Grape character is what this wine is all about.  It is aged in stainless steel.

Norton Reserve - A true American style, this wine has been aged with New American oak and is 100% Norton.

Raven Red - A unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Norton grapes.

Apple - A blend of Virginia grown apples, developed to a full strength wine for longevity,

Sangria - This "south of the border" wine has spice and citrus fruitiness. Coming soon.

Blueberry - Predominant blueberry flavors in this easy drinking wine, but you might find touches of apple and grape as well. Coming soon.

Muscat Late Harvest Dessert Wine - Half sized (375 ml) bottles of sweet aromatic Muscat picked late in the season. Terrific over vanilla ice cream, as a flambé, or just sipped on its own. Coming soon.

Limited releases

Constantly striving to bring enjoyable wines to your table, our winemakers are always coming up with small lots of uncommonly unique wines.  

When you visit our soon to open tasting room we will usually have at least one of these limited releases for you to try.  Because they are available in limited quantity, on return trips to our tasting room we will often offer a new limited release for you to experience.
